Ski area Gastein

Place names found in the Gastein Valley tell something about their unique character: Dorfgastein is welcoming, Bad Hofgastein is chic, Badgastein is trendy and Sportgastein offers everything for a great sporting holiday. The whole region provides a wide variety of ski runs totalling around 200km of well-maintained slopes making up one of the largest ski areas in Austria.

At Badgastein a wide choice of red ski slopes can be found; Bad Hofgastein has a good selection of red and blue runs. If you head off-piste (with a guide of course as the area is enormous) the ski area almost doubles in size! For extreme sport lovers, the latest challenge is waterfall ice-climbing! Good area for snowboarders as there are not too many drag lifts!
