The inhabitants are right when they define this area as the ”largest ski area in Austria”. From its nine ski resorts (Going, Ellmau, Schaeffa, Söll, Itter, Hopfgartenand Brixen im Thale, Westendorf and Kelchsau) diverse interconnected ski areas can be reached, making up nearly 280km of perfect ski runs, all accessible with the same ski pass. The most beautiful and numerous ski slopes are those of easy to medium difficulty with red and blue runs equally shared out across the whole ski area.
Its many restaurants and old converted haylofts offering food on the slopes - more than any other zone - will be the only thing that will keep you off the slopes here! Soll is the main resort in the fantastic Ski Welt ski area and is an ideal choice for groups of mixed ability skiers. Although this ski area is relatively low, the many modern snow cannons assure the snow coverage if need be. Excellent children's facilities make this a great place for families.
