Ski area Sölden

Sölden-Hochsölden-Vent is located in the Ötztal, with approximately 150 kilometres of snow-sure slopes. Here you'll find three 3000ers, two glaciers, excellent après-ski, a world-class snow park and a long list of international events throughout the ski season. The ski area reaches altitudes of 3340 metres above sea level and has slopes for every ability level, from beginner to expert skiers and snowboarders. The longest run starts at the BIG 3 viewing platform (3340m) and winds its way down to the valley (1350m), measuring 15km long in total with 2000m of vertical drop. As for the ski resorts, there are all kinds here: from family-friendly Vent to laid-back Längenfeld to bustling Sölden-Hochsölden, there's a village to suit every style. If you're a diehard skier, you might want to stay at Hochsölden on the Giggijoch (2284m), a wonderful starting point within easy reach of the slopes.

Advanced skiers can choose from three challenging black slopes on the Gaislachkogel (3058m), with a vertical drop of almost 1700 metres. If your legs still have some energy left in them, you can head over to the "Wilde Abfahrt". Meanwhile, beginners can head to the Tiefenbach glacier where they'll find lovely wide, gentle slopes perfect for practising turns. Freestylers will find a top-notch snow park in the Area 47 on the Giggijoch. Snow is guaranteed from early til late in the season at Sölden-Hochsölden-Vent thanks to two glaciers (the Rettenbach and the Tiefenbach), as well as plenty of snow cannons on the lower-altitude slopes. When you need a break, you can stop in at one of the many mountain restaurants that serve up delicious local specialties. And, of course, Sölden is known for its lively après-ski scene!
