The Stubai Glacier is the largest glacier ski area in Austria, with around 60km of slopes. Snow is guaranteed from October to June on up to 35 pistes, with altitudes between 1695-3210m. The Stubai Glacier is best suited to beginner and intermediate skiers but is also very popular with freestylers thanks to the snow park, the Stubai Zoo. Families will feel at home here thanks to the Big Family ski camp, children-friendly restaurant and ski nursery from the age of 3. Stubai Glacier is just 45 minutes from Innsbruck.
The Top of Tyrol viewing platform at 3210m offers fantastic panoramic views of the entire Stubai Glacier ski area, down to the Ötztal valley in Sölden. The wide slopes are perfect for practising your turns, and freeriders will also find some routes through the powder here. The longest run is 10km long and leads down to the Stubai Valley - recommended for experienced skiers only and depending on snow cover. The recently inaugurated 3S Estratbahn cable car brings skiers and snowboarders up to 2900m without the need to change lifts.
