New Doppelmayr lift in Mayrhofen
In another push to provide skiers and snowboarders with the latest in technology, Mayrhofen is planning to unveil a new 10-seater gondola next winter. Scheduled to open for the 2018/2019 ski season, the future “Möslbahn” will transport approximately 2000 skiers and snowboarders an hour up Mount Penken, in the heart of the Tyrolean ski resort. With varied, demanding slopes and plenty of activities to offer both on and off the slopes, this ski resort in the Zillertal Valley has earned a well-deserved reputation as one of Austria’s most popular ski resorts. New lift connection from Mösl to Mount Penken
Plans are already laid for the construction of this latest-generation D-Line gondola by Doppelmayr, with building permits just issued in February. The Möslbahn will bring skiers and snowboarders up "Action" Mount Penken from the Mösl am Hochschwendberg district, opening up new accommodation possibilities in that area. Construction of the new ski lift is expected to cost €18 million in total.

Cable car will give access to more skiing terrain
Work in Hochschwendberg started in the fall and construction of the future valley station will begin as soon as weather permits. The Möslbahn will have a valley station, mid-station and mountain station as well as a car park, storage rooms and a restaurant at the top station. The lift will also give access to 1.2km of new ski pistes.
