The ski resort of Arosa located in the Swiss Alps has decided to make a revolutionary offer for the upcoming winter season! Free ski and snowboard lessons for children and young people under 17 years old!
The offer is valid for bookings of two nights or more in 20 hotels and more than 50 apartment residences.

Investing in the future

"Our schools are among the best in Switzerland and thus form an important added value for Arosa," said Pascal Jenny, director of Arosa Tourism. Besides the advantage of being completely free, he added: "Children learn to ski and snowboard in their early years, and then enjoy winter sports for the rest of their lives.

We want to encourage this and have therefore set up this collaboration with local ski schools and accommodation providers." Also, children who learn to ski with professional ski instructors become much “safer” skiers – reducing notably the risk of accidents for themselves and others!

How to book free lessons?

These free ski and snowboard lessons can be booked in advance, directly at the ski school by giving information about the child, your hotel or apartment and length of stay. On arrival your hotel or apartment will give you confirmation entitling your child/children to free lessons.

To avoid disappointment, it is advisable to pre-book as early as possible. The offer is valid for children born in 1995 or later and even when booking through a travel agency or tour operator.

About Arosa

The resort of Arosa is located in the district of Graubünden and has one of the best snow records in the Alps. It has a pleasant and convenient ski area with 60 km of slopes, located between 1800 and 2650 meters.

The village is located in the east of Switzerland between Italy and the Austrian border. Arosa is easily accessible by car and by public transport: the last part of the train journey between Rhätische Bahn and Arosa is particularly spectacular.

So this year, don’t let high prices put you off - why not discover a new ski resort, a new ski area and maybe even a new country and treat your kids to some professional ski or snowboarding lessons without breaking the bank!

About Nikki

Being lucky enough to have parents who were crazy about skiing, my love for the mountains started when I was 4 years old on our first family ski holiday to Austrian ski resort of Obergurl. One ski holiday a year was never enough and tears rolled down my face as I looked out the back window of the car on the drive down the valley on the way home!
