The right ski resort for Easter ski holidays
Is there a right ski resort for Easter ski hoidays? Well, there is of course the question of altitude – high altitude ski resorts are more likely to have snow later in the season. However, this winter season’s snowfalls have been rather erratic and have not really followed the usual north/south patterns. Ski resorts in the southern French Alps, for example, have had much more snow than some of the highest ski resorts in the northern French Alps. However, booking Easter ski holidays in resorts like Val Thorens in the Trois Vallées or Tignes and Val d'Isere, you are pretty much guaranteed excellent snow conditions all through the season including Easter.

Tips for Easter ski holidays
Here are a few tips from a weather-beaten Easter skier:
- Slap on the sun cream – SPF40 or higher – and not just once!
- Don’t forget your lips – use specially adapted lip balms.
- Drink lots of water – you lose a lot doing sport in the higher temperatures and can get headaches from dehydration.
- Wear specially adapted sunglasses or ski goggles – the sun’s rays are much stronger in spring.
- Keep your ski helmet on – even though wearing a helmet in warm weather isn’t that comfortable, you are still in just as much danger if you don’t wear your helmet.
- Keep your gloves on too – fingers and thumbs are very vulnerable when they come in contact with the edge of your skis or snowboard!
- Above all, don’t take unnecessary risks and come home happy and safe from your Easter ski holidays
