Unlike nearby Chamonix, Argentière is a small, quiet village. Here, it is all about winter sports, and even the younger visitors are here for the skiing or snowboarding! The ski area is pretty challenging, but beginners will find some easier ski slopes at Le Tour. The off-piste trails, and black runs from the highest point, Les Grands Mots, are world-famous and very popular among skiing and snowboarding experts.
