The small ski resort of Les Bottières-Jarrier is situated at an altitude of 1300 meters in the beautiful Rhone-Alpes. The nearest large town is Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne. In Bottières-Jarrier there is plenty to do, both in winter and in summer. In winter you can ski but also make snowshoe hikes here as there are 22 km of trails. There is also a toboggan run. You can enjoy fresh cheese from the farmers or pay a visit to L' écomusée du Moulin, an interesting museum in Jarrier. Les Bottières-Jarrier is the perfect ski resort for beginners and advanced skiers and snowboarders will enjoy the approximately 310 km of pistes of the nearby Les Sybelles ski area.
