Perfect area for cross-country skiing
The Métabief area is situated on the Swiss border and consists of a few smaller ski areas making up a total of 40km of slopes. Beginner skiers and young children will feel right at home here on the gentle slopes at relatively low altitudes. This area is a paradise for cross-country ski fans.
The ski slopes of Métabief are divided between the Entre-les-Fourgs, Rochejean, Fourgs and Larmont ski areas. One of the main advantages of these areas is the very affordable prices which do not, however, mean a lack of quality or services. Old ski lifts have recently been replaced with modern, efficient lifts which means less queuing and more skiing. The wonderful surroundings also offer great cross-country skiing and hiking possibilities.
