Beautiful scenery - rolling hills interspersed with high mountains is how one can describe the ski area of Montclar. The highest point of the ski area is 2505 meters and the lowest point is 1350 meters. Montclar lies between the Northern Alps and Provence, only two hours away from the Mediterranean Sea. Even though the village of Montclar and its ski area are small they are both completely focused on winter sports and are fully equipped with everything you need on your ski holidays.
The Montclar ski area is especially ideal for families as there are many blue runs. Due to the altitude difference, there are also plenty of long red runs making the Montclar ski area also perfect for more experienced skiers. The ski area has some Famille Plus features, which makes it very child friendly. There are also several day care centers and ski lessons for the kids. The apres-ski in the village of Montclar is not very lively but there are plenty of kid-friendly restaurants. In Montclar it is possible to try night skiing, off-piste skiing and there is a snow park and a skating rink. Everything you need for an active family ski holiday.
