Praz de Lys - Sommand is a beautiful ski resort with a good choice of quality ski slopes and ski lifts. The slopes offer fantastic views of Mont Blanc and Lake Geneva. The Praz de Lys - Sommand reaches up to an altitude of 2000 meters above sea level and generally has excellent snow conditions. There are 25 snow cannons in the ski area in the event of lack of snow.
The ski area of Praz de Lys - Sommand was founded in 1978 and consists of two connected ski areas. The ski area has about 24 lifts serving over 50 km of well-groomed ski slopes. The skiing in Praz de Lys -Sommand is particularly good for beginners and children as a large number of the ski slopes are blue. More advanced skiers will find plenty of challenges, however, on the wonderful red and black slopes here. There is a snow park, a boardercross and various kickers, tables, boxes and rails for snowboarders who like to show off their talents. Cross-country skiers have a lot to explore around Praz de Lys - Sommand and there are many off-piste opportunities for those lookings for some thrills in the powder. On the slopes you can find some nice restaurants, but Praz de Lys - Sommand is quiet at night.
