Kvitfjell Resort is part of the Kvitfjell ski area, which was built in the 1990's for the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer/Hafjell. The village comprises mostly luxury hotels and chalets, with all the facilities for a carefree winter sports holiday.
There's no shortage of things to do at Kvitfjell Resort. In the GubrandsGard hotel you'll find a swimming pool, spa and even a nightclub. There is a variety of restaurants serving traditional Norwegian cuisine - in fact, you'll be hard-pressed to find the typical fried food characteristic of mountain huts. Instead you'll have to make do with cute cafes that serve up tasty snacks and warm drinks. Try Koia or the Plaza Cafe if you're really interested in getting to know the local cuisine.
