Spåtind (Norway)

An ideal choice for both downhill and cross-country skiers, Spåtind is locally renowned for its snow-sure microclimate. Eating and staying in Spåtind is relatively cheap compared to other places in Norway, and there are plenty of good restaurants to choose from. Although this isn't really a crazy après-ski town, you can have a good time at the Grautbua pub. The family-friendly Spåtind Skisenter has around 6km of downhill pistes and virtually no queues. Kids can also go snowtubing or tobogganing. The excellent network of cross-country trails has something for everyone, from families to experts, and keep an eye out for Norway's national cross-country team, which trains here.
