Traditional and modern styles complement each other in perfect harmony here. The ski resort of Villars is slightly larger and trendier than Les Diablerets, but both offer the allure of a traditional village and are perfectly adapted to winter sports. The resorts offer wonderful panoramic views and have a pleasant, lively atmosphere. From Villars it is easy to visit the nearby ski resorts of Leysin (with its famous revolving restaurant) Champéry and the Four Valleys ski area. The Perche-Conche lift has made access to Les Diablerets easier.
Red and blue slopes are predominant here making this just the perfect ski area for beginners and intermediate skiers who want to practice and make progress on ther week's ski holiday. However, with nearly 190km of ski slopes in total, it goes without saying that no-one is left out! There is a good selection of black runs and endless off-piste just waiting to be discovered by the experts in your group. Snowboarders are certainly in for a treat here and can almost choose a different snow park each day - there are 5! Villars is particularly popular with British families mainly due to the excellent ski school with its many English-speaking instructors and well-run kindergarten. The wonderful cross-country trails offer a pleasant alternative to hurtling down the slopes.
